Our History
OMW officially started in May of 2010 but our family has been in the sheet metal industry for 30 years. Harley Owens started in the Knoxville area in 1981 and retired in 2009. While attending the University of Tennessee Chris Owens worked part-time for him from 2000 until 2003. After graduating in 2003, Chris worked full time until he opened up OMW in 2010.
Part of what makes OMW a unique company is it strives to honor God in all aspects of the business. When starting in 2010 the prayer was for God to bless Chris and his wife Katie with the resources to adopt a child from Ethiopia. Through His mercy God has blessed them with this and so much more. Chris strives to bring glory to God in all he does and it gives OMW a chance to spread His word to the roofing industry in East Tennessee.
